I wanted to record this video on short notice, especially since the shows are around the corner.

Bill was in Hawaii last week, Chris is busy during the work week, and I’m self-conscious of my slight lisp. So, I forced James to talk in front of the camera for a minute. Twenty one takes later, we were good to go.

Here’s a text summary:

• We’re recording our second CD (first full-length album).
• Show: Friday, August 13, 2010, 8pm-11pm @ No Future Cafe (Pasadena, CA), all ages, $5 — with The Monumental Disaster and James Band
• Show: Friday, August 27, 2010, 9pm-1:30am @ Kelly’s Pub (Arcadia, CA), 21+, $5 — other bands to be determined

UPDATE 2010-08-10 10:35pm: Due to a scheduling snafu from the church behind No Future Cafe, the August 13th show just got canceled. There’s an opportunity to reschedule for the following Friday, August 20th. Official post to come if that gets confirmed.

At 6:00pm, we’ll be playing at Mercantile Alley. You can find it south of Colorado Blvd between S Fair Oaks Ave and S Raymond Ave. Afterward, we’ll [most likely] head to Barney’s Beanery (map) for dinner and drinks. Don’t worry, it’s less than 800 feet away.

1. We played at NFC exactly one year ago.
2. This is our first time playing back-to-back shows.
3. We attempted to have a San Francisco tour for this weekend (Thursday through Sunday), but it fell through.
